Rainforest World Music Festival 2015

A unique festival nested in the jungle of the Borneo Island offering three days of world music on various forms: music workshop, cultural displays, craft display, concerts that is what the Rainforest World Music Festival has to offer. The festival features a wide range of performances, from traditional local artists to contemporary music with well-know international musicians from different horizons: Ireland, South Africa, Indonesia, Iran, Denmark…

The festival is spread on three days. During the day, the visitors can follow and participate in informative workshop, ethno-musical lectures, jamming sessions and mini concerts. A variety of delicious South East Asian food and drinks stalls will be set up, as well as an arts and crafts exhibition to discover the talent of the local artists.

Getting there

Air

Kuching International Airport has several domestic connections and international connections with Singapore and Indonesia.

Road

Sarawak has land borders with Brunei, Indonesia that can be crossed by Bus. The festival is held 30km north of Kuching. Several shuttle lines from Kuching go to the Sarawal Cultural Village.
