Penang Island Jazz Festival 2013

Jazz lovers will be delighted by the 10th Edition of the Penang Island Jazz Festival. The Jazz festival who started with 1 stage over 2 days evolved in an international event hosting 1 main stage, 5 fringe stages, 1 sundown stage and other activities over 4 days.

The aim of the festival is to create a "total music festival experience" that go beyond the classic and simple concert scheme. Many activities such "An Evening With" sessions or afternoon stages will be held in parallel of the festival.

The Penang Jazz Festival promotes the local and regional music scenes and invites as well international stars. They will play a wide range of jazz music, form a classic soul jazz to more modern music such as the ultra-contemporary, jazz-inflected beatbox vocal gymnastics of rising star Butterscotch during the 2012 edition.

The Penang Jazz Festival is a key piece of the growing arts scene in Penang and the 2013 edition promises to be an interesting event on the usually quiet beaches of Penang Island.

Details of the 2013’s Programme will be announced later.
