MoonFest - Mid Autumn Festival

Moonfest is an annual Chinese arts festival held during the mid-autumn festival aiming to promote Chinese traditional arts and culture.

The festival featured free and ticketed events including interesting Chinese Opera such as the famous legend of the White Snake. Everybody is welcome to attend, Operas and shows will have English subtitles.

Kids are also welcome to attend as certain events are catered specially for them: lantern making workshop, opera discovery workshop and Chinese Drumming workshop.

Centred on the theme of “heroes and heroines”, the Zhejiang Wu Opera Research Centre will perform four of their signature excerpts based on valiant characters from familiar Chinese operatic works such as Female Generals of the Yang Family, White Water Shoal and Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
