Melaka Arts and Performance Festival 2013

The Melaka Arts and Performance Festival is a contemporary festival centred around Melaka history and heritage. Dance, performance art, visual art, film and music will bring colourful and artistic vibes to the UNESCO heritage sites.

Malaka collective ancestral heritage allows contemporary artists to create rich and powerful works of art mixing skills, cultures and socio-economic paths.

‘Turning Around’ - transformation through the creative drive - is the central theme of this year festival. The theme connects both the foundation myth for Melaka, and the festival's objective of assisting contemporary arts to play a role in Melaka's renewal  alongside its heritage-driven tourist industry.

A stage will also be set to feature traditional Malaysian and international performances.
