Presented by Esplanade, Flipside presents the lighter side of the arts for all to enjoy with programmes that are quirky, comic and most of all, fun. The festival featured free and ticketed events fun and entertaining.

This year's programme includes:

  • Piece of Cake, a song and dance cabaret ensemble with an eclectic mix of instruments ranging from a musical saw to a kitchen pot by three Australian sisters
  • Sticks, Stones, Broken Bones, a Canadian puppet master transforming household junk into magic shadow characters playing crazy comic scketches
  • Fat Kids Are Harder To Kidnap: 3D, a Singapore performance group tackling hard issues, racism, terrorism with quirky observations and a wacky take
  • Technodelic Visual Show, by SIRO-A, a six-member strong performance group from Sendai, miming with modern technology, breath-taking optical illusions and movement all set to a pulsating electro beat
