F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2015

The F1 Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most famous attractions in Singapore. First F1 night race and first street circuit in Asia, the circuit is one of the toughest of the season: the lighting conditions, the heat, and the street circuit make a truly unique challenge for the drivers. Located around the famous business district of Marina Bay, the track cuts through majestuous building, runs over bridges and slides along the bay front under the beautifully lighted Singapore skyline.

The event is spread on three days, Friday for the practices, from late afternoon to night, Saturday for the last practice and the qualifying round and Sunday for the real race starting at 8pm local time. The drivers will have to endure the 309 kilometers of the race in 61 laps. The current lap record is held by Kimi Räikkönen in 1:45.599 (2008). The circuit has been created in 2008 by KBR Inc. based on the work of Hermann Tilke, a famous F1 architect. The main critic of this circuit is its bumpiness between turns 5 and 7, leading to a very unforgiving circuit. Some other critics relate to the high kerbs in turn 10 called the "the worst corner in F1" by Lewis Hamilton.
